Starting Over and acknowledging the Native Americans

Hello readers and thanks for coming by.

I have not posted in a while due to several reason’’s.

I feel it is time maybe again. So much crap going on all around us now.If you just look at the negative the world as we know it is not a very nice place to be right now i am afraid.I even hate to watch news anymore, even though i do only because i like to learn new things and learn of past experiances that i never knew of.The history channels are awesome to me.Over the years i have so missed them without satellite, but now i have them again thank God.This morning i watched a show entitled”Rabbit Fences”..

It is a story based on the life of several young girls and their aborijanee  tribe in the early years of our century up until the

70’s.It remeinded me somewhat of the pain of the native american’s here in the states and what was done to them.My heritage includes whites and Native Americans. My fathers motherwas Cherokee .She grew up right in the same area as my white grandparents and remained here.So i guess you can say i would have  been here in this spot whether white men came or not.I feel blessed for that.I wish my Grandma had shared more about my Indian heritage but that was just too painful for her.So most of that lineage went with her when she went to see Jesus at age 95, 15 years ago.

I hear and see so much talk on people being prejudise and how rights were taken away years ago,but i never hear about the people WE all took rights away from to even be able to be in the United States, the origional owners of this nation,AMERICAN INDIANS…

We came over here, called them the savages, trying to wipe out their rights, land, tribes, food, families, religion, language, homes, spirits, and their lives!!!!!!They were rounded up like animals and made to walk thousands of miles to a desolate place none of us would have wanted to go too because of a stupid treaty and a lot of greedy people, black and white. We all assisted in this. This generation in peticular did not, neither do we need or have slaves, but we still are reminded daily of this. What about the plights of other people.Do they not need recognition of what happened to them so it never happens again?Or maybe that is not important enough,And do not write me about the ”land they were given”….PLEASE….have you been to a reservation?Have you talked to any of them. The elders and found out their stories? We ”gave” THEM land that they already owned,,,Just the parts that kept them AWAY from others and told them they had to stay there to be able to get ”ASSISTANCE!”’

a LO T of people of all colors have been hurt and abused.Lots of people and families have been totally wiped out down the years at the hand’s of others.I just think when we are reminded and taught of this we should remember them all.Not just one or two examples. And don’t think i am bias at all.I am not.My daughters heritage is also black lineage several generaions back..I guess you could say i have a grab bag of ancestors..I just think all need acknowledge. My son married a native american girl whom i am so blessed to have and given me one of my  granddaughter’s. She has a right to have the plight of her ancestors taught as well and respected for the price they paid here..just like all else. They were a strong spirited people. They still are.Just because they don’t demand anything does now mean it ahould not be heard…IT IS ONLY RIGHT….In the next few months i will be doing some native american stories and struggles.i hope  you join me for this.thanks for stopping by ,and i welcome any and all comments.

May God watch over us all with his divine mercy and love and forgive us of our stupidy…

In Jesus name….
