drill here-survive oncoming economic fall-gas-prepare america

Good morning readers!
Hope you are all looking forward to a great weekend. Here in the south looks like it’s going to be hot and dry.We got a light sprinkle last night, but not near what we need.My mom’s little pond is in serious condition. If she does not get rain soon, her fish will begin to die.My brother has already placed a pump in it to keep water moving, add oxygen. She wanted a pond all her life and so happy with it,i pray for rain for her.

okkkkkkkkkkk..Has the economy got you worried yet?If not then either i have my head in the dirt or you fo one…lol…Gas and groceries soaring, corn products rising daily, oil products up…dairy, and too many more to list..EVERYTHING GOING UP..
I am very concerned i will be honest. As most know from my blog,i am one of the many people who have begun planning for something bad economically to happen.I see shortages, empty grocery shelves(already seeing downsizing supplies in stores here in south al.),either no gas or it too expensive to buy.I see also lots of stealing and looting foing on and more people doing what they should not do just to make some money to survive. Please readers i ask you to check into all this if you have not, then make an educated decision on wheather you should be making changes as well.A lot of people are deciding to leave the cities, the one’s who can’t are making their homes more secure and stocking up on basic needs items for weeks/months/years.I pray we are not correct in this but if it happens i don’t won’t my grandbabies and us to be starving in a few weeks and sick.So on the grounds it happens,i want to be as ready as i possible can with what i have to work with now, financially speaking and the area i am at.The area is good, born and raised here,we own it,i know the area well ,blindfolded, lol…
Fresh water available when needed, garden planted, staple items being put away as well as canned goods, candles, reloader for making shells for our guns, supplies, baby milk, cloth diapers, women needs, etc.
If all this goes down ,at least we will be survivable. i’m already seeing people who can’t go to the dr.s,afford many groceries, loosing homes..etc..more people at food stamp offices and searching for help in government and church organizations. What will happen when these close? That is an easy guess.Alot of hungry, homeless ,sick, hurting people who resort to drastic measures to get what they must have.Scary people…be ready for this in your area,it is coming!
If i can be af any help to any of you who may be deciding to begin preparing please let me know.I can point you to tons of info to help you,JUST DON’T WAIT TOO LONG.When it happen’s it will be too late…This time unlike the depression years ago, there wont be any soup lines, etc for quite some time.No food….no one stores up for that anymore.Gardens are not in every yard anymore.everyone does not have thousands of preserved food to share with everyone anymore.Hardly any meat smoke houses(which are a wonderful idea ;) ) …So do not think if this happens someone will save us….We cant….so please …do this for your self and your family…..just in case…red flags are everywhere..don’t forget a medical supply kit either..bandages,tape,antibiotic cremes,etc..extra meds for the ones who need them.don’t forget your asthma meds either. Will be extremely hot with no ac or fans, and yes i see that happen…You don’t think electricity is going to sky rocket. And this winter ,we will be lucky to afford heat by then, get those fireplaces ready ….if you are lucky enough to have one anymore…I am thankful for mine…we use ours every year,i  have even cooked on it through the years when power would go down and it is cold outside…can tell you how to do that if intersested…easy!
Don’t count on a lot of things very soon that we are accustomed to getting hold of easy…Get some things to barter with also…trades are always a good thing!
Here a few links that can help you out also if you are deciding to begin…The food calculaters are great, even though a few things  disagree with, they are wonderful in giving you an idea of what you will need…But get the bleach!!!!!!
I know through volunteering at the gulf when hurricanes come in and devastate…Bleach is gold(and hard to get then)…lysol too……You need it to disinfect ….And lysol…Every since i was a child my great aunt sprayed her legs and arms with lysol..She never got sick or any cut or scratch get infected..IT WORKS!i use it too…try it…get a scratch, spray it on a few times a day for a couple days and it is done!

and one thing also do not forget…if you have not recently had a tetanus shot,go get one! also add epson salt to your list…
Tetanus

 Also called: Lockjaw
Tetanus is a serious illness caused by tetanus bacteria. The bacteria
live in soil, saliva, dust and manure. The bacteria usually enter the
body through a deep cut, like those you might get from cutting
yourself with a knife or stepping on a nail.just want to underscore that even though someone CAN get tetanus from a “rusty nail,” tetanus is a bug that lives in soil, so that ANY dirty wounds can potentially lead to tetanus infection. A rusty nail is NOT required to get tetanus. ANY dirty wounds CAN lead to tetanus.

> The infection causes painful tightening of the muscles, usually all
> over the body. It can lead to “locking” of the jaw, which makes it
> impossible to open your mouth or swallow. If this happens, you could
> die of suffocation.

If you get tetanus, there is usually a long course of treatment. The
tetanus vaccine can prevent tetanus but its protection does not last
forever. Adults should get a tetanus shot, or booster, every 10
years. If you get a bad cut or burn, see your doctor–you may need a
 booster..

water storage
Water Storage Guidelines

Commercially bottled water in PETE (or PET) plastic containers may be purchased. Follow the container’s “best if used by” dates as a rotation guideline. Avoid plastic containers that are not PETE plastic.

If you choose to package water yourself, consider the following guidelines:

Containers

Use only food-grade containers. Smaller containers made of PETE plastic or heavier plastic buckets or drums work well.
Clean, sanitize, and thoroughly rinse all containers prior to use. A sanitizing solution can be prepared by adding 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of liquid household chlorine bleach (5 to 6% sodium hypochlorite) to one quart (1 liter) of water. Only household bleach without thickeners, scents, or additives should be used.
Do not use plastic milk jugs, because they do not seal well and tend to become brittle over time.
Do not use containers previously used to store non-food products.
Water Pretreatment

Water from a chlorinated municipal water supply does not need further treatment when stored in clean, food-grade containers.
Non-chlorinated water should be treated with bleach. Add 1/8 of a teaspoon (8 drops) of liquid household chlorine bleach (5 to 6% sodium hypochlorite) for every gallon (4 liters) of water. Only household bleach without thickeners, scents, or additives should be used.
Storage

Containers should be emptied and refilled regularly.
Store water only where potential leakage would not damage your home or apartment.
Protect stored water from light and heat. Some containers may also require protection from freezing.
The taste of stored water can be improved by pouring it back and forth between two containers before use.

if it is now a financial hardship on you, it will be worse in the
future and it is now time for you to move to a location where energy is
less important to your financial well being. There are a lot of places that are still cheaper to live than others and if you are financially strained i know it is hard, believe me i do really know..There are also still some places in the rural areas where empty houses stand. Many times the owner lives very close by hem and if you are willing to clean up the place and fix things up they are willing to let you live there for a while free or very cheap in exchange  for keeping the place up.It is worth a try .

…..until next time ,may god bless us all and dont forget to sign this petition!YES IT IS ONE THAT CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD WE LIVE IN NOW AND LATER!!!iTS NOT JUST ANOTHER ONLINE PETITION!

  • Our family just purchased a Food Storage Package from Daily Bread. It consists entirely of freeze dried meals… it is lightweight and has a 25 year plus shelf life. Our sales rep was great and I think he can shop anywhere in the country. Samples are free… you just add hot water, wait 10-12 minutes and you are good to go! I am soooo glad we did it. This economy scares the heck out of me. If you are interested, go to http://www.dailybreadaz.blogspot.com
